"Building communities using basketball as an educational tool."The Kitsap Admirals’ mission is to create a winning organization that makes a positive impact in the Kitsap Region through a Commitment to Excellence in the community, both on and off the court. We strive to set a standard of integrity, honesty and professionalism by providing high quality programs while empowering and developing the future leaders of tomorrow.


ABOUT US:
The Kitsap Admirals is a professional basketball team and will represent Kitsap County in the American Basketball Association (ABA); a professional basketball circuit that was established in 1999. The ABA will welcome the Kitsap Admirals as one of its newest expansion teams of 2012. The Admirals’ owner and Chief Executive Officer is Ashley Robinson of Bremerton, WA, a US Army veteran who played basketball for Olympic College from 2003-2005, and later in the ABA with the Seattle Mountaineers, and in the International Basketball League (another professional basketball circuit). Co-owning the Admirals are Erica Robinson and John Stone, both from Bremerton, WA as well.The Kitsap Admirals Basketball Club is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. The goal of the organization is to form a successful
professional team to promote the sport of basketball, and to build a hi-level of sportsmanship within the basketball community. With a growing reputation and popularity throughout the community, the Admirals are energized and ready to develop long-term relationships with the community and businesses. Using professional basketball as an educational tool, the Admirals will become a pioneer among ABA teams throughout the United States, and will build communities through youth development programs and public involvement.


The basketball season for the Admirals will commence in November 2012, and continue through March 2013. The team has landed the Olympic College gymnasium as its home court. During the season, team members will practice eight times a month and participate in regular season games in Washington, Alaska and Canada. The team is currently playing in the 2012 Bremerton Park & Recreation Spring Men’s Basketball League at Sheridan Park to prepare for the upcoming season (schedule is attached). The team will also participate in various tournaments and competitions locally and throughout the United States, as well as
different local events, building a positive reputation throughout the community, and developing professional relationships. “I’d like to be a real community team”, says Ashley. “I’d like to help some of the players who never had a chance to go to college, or maybe had personal issues—at least give them a chance.”
